It becomes a lot more tricky to pack for trip once you have to think about others than yourself. The first time we went on an overnight trip after having a baby the packing took almost as long as the trip itself. Now we have perfected our packing and often doesn't start packing until F is put to bed on Friday night. I have put together a packing list that I will share with you. It includes a list for summer day trip and summer overnight/multiday trip. It is primarily aimed at summer backcountry hiking in the BC mountains with a baby or toddler. Is there anything I forgot? Anything you would not bring? Anything require clarification? Please post a comment!

I'm curious what your packs weigh in at for this list of goods. partly for solidarity. last trip my husband was carrying over 50lbs and jettisoned one or two things part way up the mountain to lighten the load. I had the kid and assorteds which came to over 35lbs

Good point about the duct tape and needle. We do actually always carry a repair kit as well. It has duct tape, wire, a pocket knife, screw driver, voile straps, cord, and a thermarest repair kit. It is probably a little overkill for summer, but we seem to bring it all year round.

I think the last time we weight our pack was on a winter overnight trip to tetrahedron. We slept in the hut, but still carried a tent in case the hut was full. Our packs were just around 20 kg each (45 lbs). Pack will be slightly lighter if not carrying a tent or on a summer trip. The most weight we have carried was on our 8 day hike in the Sierras. On that trip Christian started out with ~95 lbs, and I had the standard 40-45 lbs.
