While in the Yukon we decided to visit Kluane National Park, and ended up settling on climbing Mt. Decoli. It is a non-tecnical pile of scree just at the edge of the park. Christian spotted a grizzle bear close to the trailhead, so I was quite worried for the first part of the hike. As soon as we broke out of the trees and into the meadows, I felt better. It was a beautiful area, we could see great mountains and glaciers. We spend the night in some lovely meadows. F had a great time running around and playing in the meadows. During the night we experienced some high winds. The toughest conditions yet for our MEC camper 4 tent. Christian went outside to secure it better, while I stayed inside to make sure that it didn't fly away with F. The next morning we hiked to the top of the mountain and celebrated with a classic family summit shot. This was Fenya's first "big"ish summit - usually she would stay in camp and play, but this time she got to be carried to the summit.
